Description
Depuis cette fenêtre, vous pouvez effectuer des recherches de fichiers sur les réseaux ed2k et Kademlia et les ajouter à votre file de téléchargement.
Usage
Principal
Voici à quoi ressemble une fenêtre de recherche :

La partie entourée d'un rectangle rouge est celle qui est réellement utilisée lors d'une recherche.
La partie supérieure est l'endroit où vous entrez vos demandes de recherche :

Recherche basique
Débuter une recherche
Pour débuter une recherche, saisissez l'expression recherchée dans le champ Nom et cliquer ensuite sur le bouton Démarrer :

Par exemple, si vous désirez rechercher des fichiers dont le nom contient le mot amule, vous devriez saisir amule (voir l'image ci-contre). Si vous désirez rechercher des images ISO de CDs Debian, vous devriez taper quelque chose comme debian iso.

Récupérer les résultats
Une fois la recherche lancée, un onglet de résultats apparaît :

Dans l'onglet de résultats, vous verrez une liste de fichiers disponibles. Vous pouvez voir le nom du fichier, sa taille, le nombre de sources et le nombre de sources avec le fichier complet (entre parenthèses), le type de fichier et l'ID du fichier :

Lorsqu'aucun résultat n'est trouvé pour la requête, l'onglet de résultats est vide.
Pour des recherches globales, une barre de progression indique l'avancement de la recherche.

Stopper une recherche
Pour stopper une recherche en cours, cliquer simplement sur le bouton Arrêter (ou fermer l'onglet actif comme expliqué un peu après dans cet article) :

Télécharger
Une fois que les résultats de recherche apparaissent et que vous savez quel(s) fichier(s) télécharger, vous pouvez le faire (télécharger). Vous allez maintenant apprendre comment télécharger un fichier à partir de résultats de recherche. Notez que lorsqu'un fichier est ajouté au téléchargement, il est immédiatement affiché en rouge afin que vous sachiez qu'il est déja dans la file de téléchargement.

Il y a trois façon de démarrer un téléchargement :
- Via le bouton Réception
- En double-cliquant ou en pressant une touche du clavier
- A partir du menu des options avancées
Chacune a des avantages et des inconvénients. Ils vont vous être expliqués tout de suite.
Download button
When a search has been performed and results have appeared, you can now start downloading the files listed. To do so, just select the file (or files, see the multiple selection article) you wish to download and click the Download button.

This method is available for all users and allows multiple files downloading in a single click.
Double clicking or enter keyboard key
To begin a download, instead of clicking the download button, you can just double click the file you wish to download or select it and press the ENTER keyboard key.

This method is very comfortable, however, it will only download a single selected file. That is, if you have more then one file selected, it will only download the file you double click on, not all those you have selected. Of course, you will also loose the selection.
Extended options
Once you have selected the file(s) you want to download, right-click over it (just right-click over any of the selected files if you selected more than one) and select Download.

A great advantage of this method is that you can directly define he category you want the file(s) to be added to if instead of selecting Download you select Download in category and the category you want it to be enqueued into.

This method allows multiple files downloading with a single click, but is not available for those Mac users using a single buttoned mouse.
Results colours
The files in the results tabs are usually coloured. The colours have a meaning:
Green files are files which have already been successfully downloaded or are being shared by you.

Red files are files which are already in the download queue.

Black and blue files are files which are not known to have been downloaded and are not in the download queue. The lighter blue the file's coulour is, the more sources it has. The darker blue (or black), the fewer sources.

Also, sometimes you will be able to know an approximate average rating for the files listed in the results (since some servers report it). See this article to know more about it. Anyway, note that only average ratings may be displayed, comments will definitely not since they are not provided when searching.
Tabs
Main descriptions and usage
Whenever you perform a search a tab is displayed:

If you now start another search, a new tab will appear and the old results tab(s) will go to background leaving the new tab in foreground:

Each tab shows a text which corresponds to the search you performed for the results shown in that tab.

If you click on any of the tabs, the results obtained for that search request are shown. This allows you to have multiple search results simultaneously (so you can compare them, for example).

Apart from the search text, the tab displays also a number in brackets. This number corresponds to the amount of results found:

If you are applying a filter (filters are explained later in this article), the number by the search text in the tab will look like N/M. In this case, M will be the total amount of results received for the search and N will be the amount of results that passed through the filter and are being currently displayed.

Close a tab
The X button displayed on each tab to the left of the search text can be clicked to close the tab. Closing a tab will also stop the search it is performing if the search is still active.

Scroll tabs
When there are enough opened tabs not to fit in the window you will be able to scroll through the tabs by using the two arrows displayed to the right and left of the tabs.

By right clicking on a tab you get a menu like this:

Selecting Close tab option will close the selected tab.
Selecting Close all tabs will close all tabs.
Selecting Close other tabs will close all tabs except for the one selected.
Advanced searching
Several aspects of a search can be tweaked. This are:
- The search type. In other words, the method aMule will use to perform the search.
- Extended search parameters to adjust better the results and how to operate with them.
- Filename filtering to remove non-wanted results.

In the Type selection box you can decide the search method to use. Read this article to learn more about how it method works and what it is good for.

Extended parameters
By clicking the Extended parameters button advanced search options will be displayed.

This options are described below.
File type
You might want to select what kind of files you wish to be shown in your results. This is, just show videos, audios, documents, images, etc. You can select this here. You might want to read this article to know more about this tweak.

Category
When you plan to download many files from the search results, you may want them all to be enqueued in a concrete category instead of going into default Main category or having to do it manually or through the right-click menu. You can do so by selecting the category in the Category menu.

Extension
The File type search parameter filters results based on their extension, but you might be searching for files with a concrete extension. If so, enter the extension in the Extension box and only those files with that extension will be displayed.

Minimum size
You can select the minimum size you want files in the results list to have. All files with a size smaller than the indicated in the Min size box will be dropped. Note that you can select if the amount is to be interpreted as Bytes, Kilobytes, Megabytes or Gigabytes.

Maximum size
You can also select the maximum size you want files in the results list to have. All files with a size higher than the indicated in the Max size box will be dropped. Again, note that you can select if the amount is to be interpreted as Bytes, Kilobytes, Megabytes or Gigabytes.

Availability
Sometimes you will want to discard all results with too few sources. You can do this by setting a number in the Availability box. All files with less sources than that number will be dropped.

Filtering
By clicking the Filtering box, some advanced options will appear to filter the results.

The filter applies to all results lists simultaneously.
Filter
The normal behaviour of the filter is to list in the results list only those files whose filename contains the exact string provided in the Filter box. Once the text is in the box, click on the Filter results button to filter the results.

Invert result
You can invert the way the filter works by clicking the Invert result button. If you do so, only files whose filename does not contain the string in the Filter box will be listed in the results list.

Hide known files
By clicking this button, all files which are already in the download queue or have been completed will be removed from the results list.

Clearing searches
There are several things you can clear in the search window when the searches have been performed and you don't need the results or parameters any more.
Clear search parameters
The search text can be removed and the extended parameters reseted clicking the Reset button:

Clear all tabs
If you just want to remove all tabs, simply click the Clear button:

Also, as it has already been described, you can select any of the tabs and click on Close all tabs:

By right-clicking on a search result you get a menu like this:

The meaning of the Download and Download in category items have already been explained.
Selecting Get Razorback 2's stats for this file will open a browser with Razorback 2's statistics page for the selected file (only the last selected file if more than one file is selected).
Selecting Copy ED2k link to clipboard will copy the selected file(s)'s ed2k link(s) to the clipboard in plain text.
Selecting Copy ED2k link to clipboard (HTML) will copy the selected file(s)'s ed2k link(s) to the clipboard in a plain text HTML link form (that is <a href="link">filename</a>).
Miscellaneous
The Fast ED2K links handler will always be shown in the search window, even if disabled in Preferences. However, if you have disabled "Preferences" -> "GUI tweaks" -> "Show fast ED2K links handler", then you can click twice the Search button in the main aMule window toolbar and the Fast ED2K links handler will be hidden in the search window too.
